Biography

.  Appearance  .  Trachyn is like most Roegadyn in that he is tall and powerfully built, with strong features on his face. He usually has a well trimmed beard and fairly short, well managed hair. His face could be considered handsome if wasn’t clearly beaten into stew meat many times in his life. A nose that has never properly been reset and numerous small scars appear here and there peeking out from under his beard. Two larger scars draw the most attention, one on his forehead and the other bisecting his lips. All of this lends itself to what many would consider a dour look about him, yet this is generally erased the first time he cracks a warm smile..  Voice  .  His voice is a strong bass-baritone and is normally calm and even pitched with his excitement or emotion most often betrayed by his expressive eyes and eyebrows. Should he have to raise his voice it projects much like someone used to shouting to be heard over a large crowd..  Bearing   .  In general Trachyn tends towards being more reserved in social situations, clearly unused to just letting go and cutting loose. He defaults towards polite and formal when uncomfortable with a situation, which can lead to him being considered a bit stuffy when it comes to social interaction. A calm man in general, it tends to take quite a bit to get him riled up. Trachyn goes out of his way to be gregarious and welcoming to all he meets, until given a reason to treat them otherwise.

Trachyn has made a life of doing whatever seemed interesting to make his way, often referring to it as "Doing what needs done." when asked what his trade might be. Currently he is a Manager at The Dragon's Den in Shirogane, a lounge he's come to call home..  Striding Giant Inc.  .  In the past year Trachyn has opened Striding Giant Incorporated, originally planned to be a small import/export company with offices in the East and West. However, business is thriving, and they've been taking contracts left and right with merchants and artisans alike. Focusing on small volume, high quality goods is something Striding Giant prides itself on. [[RP Ties Available]].  Brief Synopsis  .  Born a member of a clan in Abalathia's Spine, Trachyn long ago left everything to do with that life behind and went out on his own. Seemingly a born wanderer, he found he had more in common with the Sea Wolves he met while making his way working aboard a ship as a young man. This lead to him removing his Clan marking and eschewing the Hellsguard tradition of translating their names for Eorzean tongues, instead keeping his Aerslaetaen name. This, and his trajectory from sailing to joining The Maelstrom, leads many to mistake him for a Sea Wolf, which is something he's quite happy to correct. He left the Maelstrom for the Mercenary life, then worked as a caravan guard and private security. Now you can find him mostly in Shirogane or Kugane on business when he's not travelling to the West for the same.
